EMELINE ATWOOD is the author of the debut novel A Real Animal, published by Catapult in July 2026. The novel received starred reviews from Publishers Weekly and Library Journal and was selected as both an American Booksellers Association Indie Next and Indies Introduce title. The book has also been recognized by Vogue, People, Time, New York Magazine, Vulture, the Los Angeles Times, Poets & Writers, Cultured Magazine, and the Chicago Review of Books, among others.

A graduate of the Michener Center for Writers, Atwood writes fiction and poetry. She lives in Austin, Texas.
